Narrativizing Theories:
An Aesthetic of
Ambiguity

My talented friend, Benjamin John Peters, asked me to produce a visualization for his book on the Italian writer, Umberto Eco, Narrativizing Theories: An Aesthetic of Ambiguity. Ben wanted to emphasize the role of ambiguity in our ways of knowing, specifically in our encounters with others. The Aesthetics of Ambiguity is a combination of specific modes of existence and, put together, set the stage for how we "map" our relationships to those surrounding us.

It was a pleasure to read Ben's work on Eco, and it was a rad experience to think through how to visualize the theories that Ben explained in the text.
